Under the Sea Party Decorations

Under the Sea party decorations like these bring color and sparkle to your swimming pool party.

Pool Party Decorations

under the sea decorations Pool party decorations get focus when you put a theme to your pool party. Our Under the Sea Party theme provided lots of direction for our pool party.

We used tropical fish, aqua blue netting, mermaids, trinkets and treasures to decorate the pool area.

The theme color was of course, aqua blue. When decorating, repeat the colors and decor.

For instance our homemade tropical fish greeted guests at the pool gate, at the steps to the pool, and at the pool table.

These pool party decorations were inexpensive to make and were made by our granddaughters.

Tropical Fish Party Decorations

under the sea decorations Always start your under the sea decorations outside directing your guests to the party area.

It builds a sense of excitement and anticipation when the kids are greeted by tropical fish, mermaids and seashells.

The garden arbor is decorated with a party doorway decoration made of strips of glimmering blue paper and then topped with an inflatable fish ring.

When the kids first arrived they loved running through the streamers and did it a couple of times before they discovered the sea shells on the sidewalk leading them to the pool area.

Simply use some invisible string and tie it up. I found these at our local Kroger store in the beginning of the summer.

We also used these inflatable swim rings for pool party decorations and had them floating in the pool and later used them for our Under the Sea games.

Or you can also scatter foam sea shells or under the sea foam stickers.

Our little ones loved gathering their foam under the sea creatures as they walked to the pool.

Extra stickers make great party favors.

Under the Sea Crafts

under the sea decorations These bright colored paper fish greeted guests at the pool gate.

My granddaughters helped by painting the paper plates blue using little sponges. Blue rhinestone stickers made the eyes sparkle.

Strips of different color blue tissue paper and some left over shimmering Easter grass were stapled on as the tail.

Punch a hole on the top and use aqua blue ribbon to tie the fish to the pool gate, the arbor or on the ribs of your pool umbrella.

These can be done ahead of time or set up as one of the Under the Sea crafts for the party guests.

under the sea party decorations We made these tropical fish and then placed them on a painted dowel. The "fish on a stick" were put into the ground as pool party decorations.

They were placed on the steps to the pool and around the swimming pool perimeter.

Make enough of these so that each guest has their own fish.

Once everyone arrived we started the Under the Sea Party by giving each guest their fish and then parading around the swimming pool to the Little Mermaid song, Under the Sea.

The kids loved it, and some adults joined in too.

Under the Sea Party Table Decorations

under the sea party decorations The shimmering aqua blue netting was purchased at Hobby Lobby.

The netting was draped up and around the umbrella ribs and then wrapped around the umbrella pole. The extra netting was pooled onto the table.

Using inexpensive colorful beads and under the sea creatures like tropical fish and crabs were placed on top of the netting.

under the sea decorations Let your party bags do double duty as table decorations.

These tropical fish cellophane bags made perfect party bags for this kids pool party theme.

Since this party was all girls we lined the party bags with pink tissue paper, but an aqua blue paper would look great as well.

under the sea decorations You can also use your Under the Sea Cupcakes as your party decorations.

Cupcake wrappers provide lots of color displayed on a cupcake tower.
