Wooden Chaise Lounge

A wooden chaise lounge gives a natural look that provides comfort and style to any pool setting. The most common types of wood used for outdoor pool furniture are acacia hardwood.

This wood is well-known for its natural resistance to decay, mold, mildew. The wood can withstand being outside but will weather and take on a more driftwood type appearance.

A wood outdoor chaise lounge can be quite heavy, so get one that has wheels so that you can move it easily to another spot.

Of course, look for lounges that come with outdoor chaise lounge cushions. Usually it's a better value than if you were to buy them separately. It can also be tricky buying just the right size.

Teak Chaise Lounge

A teak chaise lounge provides a classic look with the warm color of teak. Teak is a durable wood that provides longevity and is weather resistant. Unlike wrought iron it doesn't rust, but it does weather.

If you don't do any type of maintenance the wood will weather and change from a warm brown to a light silver gray.

Regular application of a teak sealer is required if you want to maintain the dark brown look of your new wood chaise lounge.
